Twin Peaks Tenure Review Submission

FMC recently submitted on the preliminary tenure review proposal for Twin Peaks station which lies in the northern extremity of the St Bathans range south of Omarama. It is exciting to see the tenure review of this property progress as it will nearly complete a longheld dream of contiguous public conservation land from the Lindis road to Danseys Pass, further linkages through to Waianakarua and the coast at Moeraki are further away but becoming more conceivable. The challenge with tenure review is to ensure appropriate weighting and protection is given to the long-term protection of natural values, even where further economic value may be derived.
