Rameka Track

FMC recently wrote in support of a proposal by Tasman District Council to redesignate part of the Rameka Pack Track from roadway to track allowable only for cyclists and pedestrians. Project Rameka is an excellent and generous initiative led by Wellington cyclists Jonathan Kennett and Bronwyn Wall which is creating a fantastic recreational opportunity, with a conservation bent, for the people of Golden Bay. Ride the Rameka Track down to Project Rameka and Takaka next time you are over that way.
FMC’s local executive member in the Nelson region is Pat Holland of Nelson Tramping Club, contact Pat on 03 539 1340.
