With mountains making up 70% of its landmass, Switzerland is one of the ‘holy grails’ of mountain walking, hiking, tramping and of course skiing. The famous Swiss Alps occupy the central and southern regions where you will find the classic mountains we all know – the Matterhorn, Eiger and Jungfrau. There are myriad well formed tracks through glorious scenery, and this trip is timed for late spring mountain flowers too. Villages and towns are mostly charming and welcoming and the country operates with legendary efficiency. This varied programme includes fine tramping on a circuit from Zurich.
